Individuals applying for employment at The Meadows Racetrack & Casino will be required to complete a Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board employment application. The applicant will choose between the following job categories:
Key Employee License Application (i.e. Directors or Department Heads)
Gaming Employee Permit Application (i.e. Anyone who is not a Key Employee or Non-Gaming Employee)
Non-Gaming Employee Registration Application (i.e. Bartender, Cocktail Server, Persons solely engaged in preparing or serving food or beverages, Clerical or secretarial personnel, Janitorial personnel, and Stage, sound and light technicians)
The Board will review of the information submitted by the applicant on their application, the Board's employee background investigation results, and upon the completion of the review the Board may issue a license, permit or registration if the individual applicant has proven by clear and convincing evidence that he or she is a person of good character, honesty and integrity and is qualified to be licensed, as a key employee, receive a Gaming Employee Permit or is qualified to be registered as a Non-Gaming Employee.
An individual may not be employed in the Commonwealth by a slot machine licensee, manufacturer licensee or supplier licensee in any capacity unless he is a citizen of the United States or can demonstrate that he or she holds a current and valid work authorization and is not restricted from working in the capacity for which employment is sought or held. Authorization to work the United States may be demonstrated by submitting one of the following:
A permanent resident alien card.
A temporary employment authorization card.
A document which the Board deems to be sufficient evidence or authorization.
Issuance of a license, permit or registration will not be granted to an individual who meets one or more of the following criteria:
The individual has been convicted of an offense under 18 Pa.C.S. (relating to crimes and offenses) or under the criminal laws of any other jurisdiction which conviction indicates that the issuance of the license, permit or registration to the individual would be inimical to the public policy of the act or this part.
The individual has been convicted in any jurisdiction of a felony or gambling offense within the past 15 years pursuant to section 1213 of the act (relating to license or permit prohibition).
